My Story

1(88).jpg

Hi, I'm Carmella!  I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Registered Social Worker.  I understand that life brings unique and unexpected challenges, but I don't think we should go through these difficulties on our own.  I am happy to share what I have learned in my years of experience and education in the mental health field, but I also know you have learned a lot on your own journey through life.  I work in collaboration with you and I am interested in hearing what is important to you as you navigate the next steps on your life path.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Simon Fraser University.  â€‹â€‹â€‹My extensive experience in mental health includes working for the government, non-profit agencies as well as private practice. I support children and teens who are navigating mental health challenges, with a specialty in neurodiversity. I have worked in parent education and parent support roles for most of my career.  I also work with women who experience challenges related to women's mental health, including neurodiversity and support for women's health including reproductive health and chronic pain conditions.

I love the forests, beaches, and mountains we have in BC.  I also enjoy writing, creativity, and extreme sports. I found myself in this career because I am interested in what people have to say.  I can always learn from the stories others have to share.  I feel very privileged to witness and support your journey.
