Individual Child/Youth Counselling

Parents say their children feel safe and comfortable to be themselves when they are around me.  My approach is child centred, and strength based.  Sessions can also be directive to allow for new perspectives and consideration of new narratives and ways of being.

Play Therapy

Whether it's managing a case of the worry bugs, tempers that could use taming or big emotions that need processing, it can all be done through play. Using toys, sand tray, arts/crafts, and games, children are encouraged to move towards positive choices and growth, while finding agency to face life challenges with confidence.

Sand Tray Therapy

Children are drawn to the sand tray and all the figurines they can choose from to engage in sand tray therapy.  Children have an opportunity to communicate through symbolism and metaphor. Sand Tray can be an accessible way for children to talk about emotional or difficult topics and it can also be used to express positive changes they would like to make or discover their identity.

Neuroaffirming Therapy

I have worked with and have personal experience with neurodiversity.  I always want my space to be neuroaffirming.  This might mean paying attention to sensory needs whether it's lighting, sounds, temperature, smells and/or the feeling of items.  I provide a variety of accommodations and pay attention to needs for sensory seekers as well as low sensory needs.  Kids have appreciated nice smelling play dough and markers that I keep stalked in the play room, which can be used in mindfulness activities.

Creative Process and Expressive Arts

Welcome to a space where creativity and expression thrive.  Here, children and teens can explore the world of arts, crafts, and writing, leaving with meaningful projects that inspire positive life choices. I have an appreciation for imagination and building confidence through the power of creativity.

Youth Counselling

Youth Counselling takes place in a safe and supportive environment, allowing for open expression of feelings without fear of judgment. Guided sessions may include talk therapy, mindfulness or expressive arts, as youth navigate their experiences and move towards personal growth.  I have a variety of conversation cards and prompts that I tend to use with youth, when they aren't sure where to start. Parents appreciate having another positive adult to support their teen in making healthy decisions that impact their life.

Parent Support / Family Counselling

Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth.  I know because I am also a parent. Parent support sessions can allow space to collaborate, problem solve, and gain an understanding of your family values. Parents can book parent support sessions as a stand alone service or in combinations with child/youth and family counselling.
