Individual Women's Counselling
Women have unique therapeutic needs. Society puts a lot of pressure on women to do it all and life is already full of many challenges. This pressure can lead to depression, anxiety, burn out, eating disorders, addiction, body dysmorphia, relationship conflict, difficulty setting boundaries, perfectionism, and overwhelm.
Women's Mental Health

Women's Counselling is always collaborative and feminist. I pay attention to any intersectionality in my anti-oppressive approach. My main modality in women's therapy is Narrative because I know that you are strong, have important values, are the expert on your life and have wisdom and intuition that will contribute to personal growth and healing. At the same time, reframing negative thoughts can be done through CBT, DBT, or ACT techniques. Chronic health symptoms can be treated through Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Mind/Body Somatic work.
Reproductive Mental Health

Reproduction can bring joys and challenges. Fertility and the process of getting pregnant can be its own journey. Pregnancy can be exciting, but can also make you feel sick and low on energy as your body creates a small human. We live in a world where the expectations of women don't stop, even during these life changes. Pregnancy and postpartum hormones paired with significant changes in lifestyle and identity can leave women feeling depressed, anxious, exhausted, and defeated. This is a good time to reach out for support, so you don't go through all of this on your own.
Neuroaffirming Therapy

Neurodiversity is under diagnosed and experienced differently for women, often leading to masking and internalized oppression. I work with women who experience Autism, ADHD, Giftedness, OCD, and Neurodiversity. I support women's mental health and provide feminist therapy by using a variety of evidence based modalities. I will work with you to identify your unique strengths, while understanding any supports you need to get to a place where you feel like your best self.
Women's Health and Chronic Conditions

Women are more likely to experience health conditions such as endometriosis, vulvodynia/pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis, fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, migraines, PCOS, breast cancer, heart disease, IBS, and osteoporosis. Health conditions like these can have devastating impacts on women's mental health, while mental health symptoms can lead to worsening physical symptoms. I explore the mind-body connection through therapeutic modalities, like Pain Reprocessing Therapy, while exploring and promoting boundaries and advocacy with medical professionals to ensure women are supported holistically. You will have the opportunity to share your story and express the values that are most important to you. New perspectives will come to light in our therapeutic conversations that will shift the way you experience the world.
Online Counselling

Online Counselling can be a really great option for those who might be short on time, have childcare needs, or prefer the convenience of meeting while in the comfort of their home. This option can also remove a few stressors that can be caused by traffic, pay parking, or unreliable transit systems. I recognize that Online Counselling can work for some, but not for others. Some clients prefer to use online for every session, while others just use it when it's really rainy out or are feeling crunched for time. Feel free to try it out or use it as often as you like.
Confidential Support

Do you need to spill the tea? Counselling offers an opportunity to talk out and process what has been going on in your friendships and relationships or situations at work. Confidentiality allows a safe space to talk things out and have your voice heard. Through empathetic listening and reframing, you may walk away seeing the situation more clearly. Emotional expression is important, while additional tools could include mindfulness, writing and/or expressive arts. I will spend the first sessions getting to know who you are, which will allow us to figure out what therapeutic approaches suit you the best. If you feel like you don't know who you are, we can figure that out too.
